Compact NegotiationsThanks to the Natchez Democrat's recent article, we managed to get in touch with someone that has an interest in what is going on.

Sunday he drove up to the Hotel, and took pictures of the parking lot construction.

Keep in mind, this is part of the hotel. The Casino Boat will be down a big hill and has not even begun to be renovated.

General NewsThe Tribe is guaranteed an interest payment October 1, 2008 in the amount of $1.5 - $2 million, depending on the amounts expended on the project. This is a repayment of a loan the Tribe's corporation made to Natchez. The payment must be made or the Tribe's partner in Natchez, Big River LLC (Bill Bayba's company) would lost its interest in Natchez.

Compact NegotiationsToday's council meeting was postponed due to lack of a quorum. Weeders called tribal council members to let them know. This happened one hour before the meeting was scheduled.

How did she know that there would not be enough people?

Since our registered membership is up over 150+ in order to preserve valuable bandwidth, we are putting most of the stories in the members only section.
